CONSTRUCTION AWARDED CONTRACT FOR MOSAIC,
WCI COMMUNITIES’ OCEANFRONT MIAMI BEACH CONDOMINIUM
MIAMI (January 2005) – Thomas P. Murphy, Jr., Chairman and
CEO of Miami-based Coastal Construction Group, announced today that
WCI Communities, Inc. has awarded the contract for the construction
of Mosaic, its luxury oceanfront Miami Beach condominium, to the
company’s Coastal Condominiums division.
As the general contractor for the boutique 84-residence development
at 3801 Collins Avenue, Coastal Condominiums will oversee the construction
of the only new residential property within Miami Beach’s
Historic District. Construction is scheduled to be completed in
summer 2006.
“We are honored to be chosen once again by one of Florida’s
premier developers of luxury residential communities,” said
Murphy. Coastal has completed several high-end towers for WCI Communities,
including the Milano, Verona and Siena at Deering Bay Yacht and
Country Club in Coral Gables and the Pointe, Mariner and Admiral
at Jupiter Yacht Club in Palm Beach County. Coastal is now completing
WCI’s BellaMaré at Williams Island in Aventura and
two more condominiums at Jupiter Yacht Club. Coastal Condominiums
has completed 3,700 condominium units totaling more than 15 million
square feet.
Mosaic will be an upscale, arts-oriented development on 1.65 acres
of oceanfront property, with two- and three-bedroom residences priced
from $900,000 to $3.9 million.
Mosaic incorporates unique design features by Steven G. Interiors
and architectural elements by Fullerton Diaz. The building will
include an elegant porte cochere entrance with a fountain and mosaic
tile mural, a fourth-floor social clubroom, wine lockers, individual
cigar humidors and an elegant entertainment deck overlooking the
Atlantic Ocean.
