MIKE MURPHY PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT,
QUALITY ASSURANCE FOR COASTAL CONSTRUCTION

MIAMI (February 2006) – Thomas P. Murphy Jr., Chairman and CEO of Miami-based Coastal Construction Group, today announced that Mike Murphy has been appointed Vice President, Quality Assurance for Coastal Construction Group, an award-winning South Florida general contractor and construction management company.

As Vice President, Quality Assurance, Murphy will be responsible for ensuring that all Coastal projects adhere to the same quality standards that Coastal is known for and that all elements of installed products and systems are in accordance with the specified design. He will also manage the quality testing procedures for all the projects. Murphy most recently served as Construction Manager for Coastal Condominiums, a division of Coastal Construction Group specializing in the construction of mid- and high-rise condominiums.

Murphy has worked in the family business for 30 years and has held positions as Project Manager for Coastal Construction Company, a division of Coastal that focuses on building outstanding commercial projects throughout South Florida, and up till now, Construction Manager for Coastal Condominiums, where he was responsible for the overall management of the superintendents, including reviewing job schedules, estimating cost and analysis. He has also overseen the construction of several prestigious condo and residential projects including the Stallone residence in Miami, the Fish residence in Ocean Reef and the Milano Condominiums in Coral Gables.
