KEN KOHL APPOINTED DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR COASTAL CONSTRUCTION GROUP

MIAMI (September 2005) – Thomas P. Murphy Jr., Chairman and CEO of Miami-based Coastal Construction Group, today announced that Ken Kohl has been appointed the company’s new Director of Information Technology. Kohl most recently served as a consultant for Coastal for the past eight years.

“Ken has been a consultant with us for years and is the mastermind behind our complex computer system,” says Murphy. “This is one of many new positions at Coastal as we continue to grow with a staff of 250 employees.”

Kohl started working at Coastal in 1997 as a consultant and began updating the infrastructure of the Accounting Department and developing the company’s computer system. Kohl is also responsible for the purchase, implementation and maintenance of all IT equipment and upholding the security of the corporate network.

A graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science Marketing and Multinational Business, Kohl has more than 20 years of IT experience, specifically in the construction industry. He also served as the as the former Mayor of Broward County’s City of Sea Ranch Lakes and as the former director of the Broward League of Cities and the Chair of Technology committee.
